In the courses at this website I’ve read that no need to add our own opinion on Writing Task 1 (graphs, charts) and the tutor of our school has told us that it’s necessary.
So I’m confused now…
Is here any IELTS examinator, who can clarify the question?
It’s not necessary, but in some task questions it can be a good idea.
For instance, one of our task 1 questions concerns a trend in cafe sales near a school. It would be a good inference to say that sales dip in the summer because the students are not around.
Your opinion is not necessary, but sometimes it can add to your score!
