My friends and I are planning a weekend trip to Milan for a soccer game; we already have our tickets for San Siro. The four of us are flying into Malpensa late in the evening. Last time we were in Italy, we tried to save money and took the bus—it was a nightmare: a mile-long line, the station was packed, and by the time we finally dragged our bags to the hotel, we didn’t feel like doing anything anymore, and we even ran into some local troublemakers.

This time, we want to get to the city center without any mishaps. Does anyone know of any good options for four adults with a bunch of luggage and backpacks? And if we book a car in advance, where exactly does the driver meet the passengers after they get off the plane?

Buses from Malpensa Airport are quite a hassle, especially late at night when all you want is to get back to the hotel quickly. Plus, don’t get a regular taxi at the airport as they will charge foreigners up to 90 euros. I usually just book Milan airport transfer beforehand so I don’t have to think about anything. I am a fan of GetTransfer because you get the price that is locked in the moment you book, the driver will be right outside waiting for you with a personalized sign, so you will definitely not miss him, after you get your luggage. A friend had told me about this service some time ago and since then I have been using only it. Besides, what part of Milan are you staying in?
