I’ve been getting ready for the Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant exam, and before jumping too deeply into practice questions, I realized I needed to review the fundamentals first.
Data modeling is one area I’m spending more time on. I want to be comfortable with how data is structured and connected rather than just memorizing terminology. I’m also reviewing data ingestion and the different considerations involved when bringing data into Data Cloud.
Identity resolution is another area I’m going back over. It’s easy to understand the basic idea, but I find the actual matching and unification decisions require more thought when you start working through different scenarios.
I’m also reviewing data activation and how unified data can be used downstream. That helps me connect the individual topics instead of treating data ingestion, identity resolution, and activation as completely separate subjects.
Once I’m comfortable with those areas, I plan to use Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant exam questions to see where I still have gaps. I’m more interested in understanding why an answer is correct than simply checking whether I got it right.
For anyone else preparing for this certification, what topic did you find worth reviewing before starting practice questions?
