Is the new Vegas arena still in the works?

Yesterday, my best man and I were having a beer and discussing our upcoming trip to the U.S., and he mentioned the construction of a new basketball arena in Vegas. The thing is, we’re huge NBA fans and have long dreamed of attending a game, and now there are rumors of a new arena being built right next to the Strip.

I heard they chose a location behind the Paris and Planet Hollywood hotels on 50 acres of land. Does anyone know what stage this project is at right now and if there’s already a specific completion date? And wouldn’t it be easier to stay somewhere outside the city right now, rather than downtown, since prices will probably skyrocket because of these new sports facilities? Or is it better to book a hotel near the future complex after all?

Great! It’s a really interesting topic, but the project is still just on paper. Caesars and VICI do own those 50 acres and are currently developing a concept, but they haven’t announced any specific dates or a budget yet. If you want to learn more details, check out the article https://thesportingbase.com/vici-properties-and-caesars-join-forces-for-an-nba-arena-in-las-vegas/ on the Sportingbase website; it clearly outlines their plans and the current status. As for a hotel, I’d recommend staying on the Strip, since that’s where all the action is. By the way, when are you planning to fly, and for how many days?
