The coronavirus scare has impacted the world globally and considering the COVID-19 situation across the globe, the International English Language Testing System, IELTS has generated a new set of guidelines for their test-takers community.

The biggest question that has been posed by many candidates who were to take their IELTS test in the upcoming days or weeks is how they would proceed in the circumstances of a lockdown in their city/state/country.

IELTS has clearly stated that in the safe locations where it is permitted, IELTS testing will continue to be conducted as planned.

Candidates who have been in contact with someone showing symptoms like cough, fever or shortness of breath must avoid taking the IELTS test, if you do come across such a situation, you can contact your IELTS test centre or IELTS teams to discuss options for transferring your test to a later date or for a refund.

In certain locations across India, IELTS testing has been suspended until further notice, as per government guidelines. This is to ensure the safety of the test-takers and IELTS staff. In these locations, IELTS is ensuring detailed plans in place so test-takers will be able to take their IELTS tests as soon as possible once the official restrictions are removed and the novel coronavirus situation is under control. You can check the IELTS upcoming test dates on IDP IELTS’s official website in India for your city here-https://www.ieltsidpindia.com/.

For any doubts or clarification regarding your IELTS test, test-takers are advised to get in touch with their IELTS test centers over a call
