We’ve tried limiting screen time before bed and keeping a consistent bedtime routine, but I’m also wondering if making homework and early math practice feel more relaxed and enjoyable could help reduce anxiety. For younger kids especially, have you found that simple, game-like learning activities during the day make them feel more confident and less overwhelmed, and if so, did it have any positive effect on their sleep or overall mood? I’d be interested to hear what approaches have worked for other parents. Has anyone noticed that a child’s sleep seems to get worse when they’re feeling stressed about school or learning new things?

Sleep problems can sometimes be connected to stress, screen time before bed, or even a child feeling overwhelmed by schoolwork. Creating a calming bedtime routine and keeping study sessions short often makes a noticeable difference. If you’re helping a younger child with math, making learning feel like a game instead of a chore can also reduce anxiety. I recently found a simple counting activity at https://esingaporemath.com/blog/how-to-count-to-10 that introduces numbers in a very approachable way. Small, positive learning experiences during the day can help children feel more relaxed and confident, which may even contribute to better sleep over time.
