Sometimes it feels like I’m drifting away from my child. As soon as he gets home from school, he’s already on social media, messaging on Instagram. I don’t want to forbid it completely, but these platforms still make me uneasy.

This is a very real situation that many parents can relate to — feeling like technology is coming between you and your child can be unsettling. Many people notice that phones and social media take up a lot of attention and time in family life, which can naturally cause worry or self-doubt about whether you’re handling things the right way. It’s completely normal to feel this, and acknowledging it is an important first step.

You know, kids don’t always understand how dangerous their social media is for them and how much it can affect them. They think they’re the only special ones who will be okay. And we parents, in turn, are responsible for ensuring that they have all the good things. That’s why several of my friends have been using the uMobix cell phone tracker for a couple of years now. I’ve used it a couple of times myself to make sure my son is okay, and I can say it’s a great way to stay safe without ruining your relationship with your child.
