Hi,

I’ve watched many teaching video about IELTS writing task before i knew about AE HELP. Some online teaching said we don’t need to add a conclusion in task 1 because we’re not explaining anything. I got confused when you include a conclusion in this task. Should i write a conclusion or not?

Hi Kalyada,

A conclusion can just be 1-2 sentences that summarize the major trends in the data. While it is not always necessary, we do recommend including it in your task 1 response. If you do it well, it can leave a very good impression on the marker.
