Anyone had a phone die travelling?

My phone froze halfway through a train journey and then started showing the lock screen for a second before going black again. Brilliant timing, because my ticket, hotel booking, and work login codes were all on it. I’m back in Manchester now — would you keep trying restarts or just get it checked?

Mine died on a trip in almost the same annoying way, so after the third restart I stopped messing with it. The screen would flash, freeze, then disappear again, while calls were still coming through in the background. A colleague had already mentioned phone repair manchester, so I used that as my starting point when I got back. They checked the display and battery separately, explained what had actually failed, and I had the same phone working again without transferring everything to a spare.
