This flow-chart shows the creation of electronic goods at Sparks Inc. Immediately, it is clear that there are 14 unique components in the process, involving either the production process or the information feedback.
Initially, both raw materials and manufactured components are sent to storage. From storage, the materials are moved to production planning, from where information is looped back to storage. After the production planning, parts, are passed to assembly, then inspection, and then testing, at which point feedback is provided to the design phase. Following testing, the production process moves in sequence to packaging, dispatch, and sales, at which stage feedback is sent not only to market research but also to production planning. Market research is responsible for conveying information back to packaging, advertising, and design. Finally, the sole responsibility of product research is to send merchandise to design.
To sum up, there are numerous points in these 14 components where information is fed back in order to ensure the smooth operation of Sparks Inc.
