Good morning all. Our kitchen is an original 1980s galley – two parallel runs, a doorway at each end, and about zero counter space. Every time we host, everyone ends up standing in the hallway because there’s physically nowhere to be in the kitchen. We’d like to open it up to the dining room but the wall between them might be structural, I honestly don’t know. Bellevue, and we host a lot so being without a kitchen worries me. What does a project like this usually involve, how do we find out about the wall, and how long should we expect to be out of commission?
