I generally see those apps as entertainment or little brain exercises for when you have free time. Nothing more. If you want to actually learn a language, improve your level, know more words, and communicate more easily, it’s hard to find anything better than online english classes for adults. And it doesn’t have to be a paid program. There are decent free courses out there now.
