I can relate a lot to what you’re saying. When I began posting fitness content during lockdown, it was only to keep myself motivated and track progress. Over time I realized how important it was to interact with people in the comments, even if it felt small at first. That interaction builds trust, and trust leads to growth. I noticed many of the richest influencers don’t always rely on perfect content, but they are incredibly consistent, authentic, and know how to tell a story. I tried to copy that approach and instead of just uploading workout clips, I started sharing behind-the-scenes moments like failed attempts or struggles with diet. People seemed to connect to that more than the polished videos. Another thing I learned is to test different formats: reels, carousels, even longer captions. Sometimes the unexpected ones perform best. I’ve also seen how important collaborations are. Teaming up with someone in a similar niche helped me get new eyes on my page without paying for ads. What often surprises me is that success doesn’t come from having the fanciest gear—it’s more about relatability and consistency. It’s still a long road for me, but at least I now know what really makes a difference.
