what is the difference between ‘it’ and ‘this’? For example-
1 It was written my destiny.
2 This was written in my destiny.
what is the difference between these sentences?

Hi Mohammad, Good question. In essence both case 1 and case 2 express the same idea. However, the actual exact interpretation is different. Both “it” and “this” are pronoun referents. “it” is more generalized and not point specific. In case 1, “it” may refer to, for example, conquest – Conquest was written in my destiny. On the other hand, ‘this’ indicates more the actions which lead to the conquest, a more specific point (Think, ‘this’, ‘that’, ‘that over there’). I will become a conqueror. This was written in my destiny.
