Has anyone figured out how to stop AI roleplay characters from gradually losing their personality? I’ve tried setting up a few different scenarios and the beginning usually feels pretty convincing, but after a while the replies become much more generic. I’m interested in femdom themed roleplay in particular, but the same problem seems to happen regardless of the character. Maybe I’m just approaching the setup incorrectly.

I ran into the same thing when I was experimenting with character based chats. There’s an article from HoneyChat about AI femdom chat roleplay that might give you a few ideas. I found it while looking for ways to structure the initial scenario https://honeychat.bot/en/blog/ai-femdom-chat-roleplay/ . It’s not really a technical guide, but it covers some of the things that can affect how consistently the AI follows the character and dynamic.

I’ll take a look. I probably haven’t been giving enough thought to the setup itself and have just been jumping straight into the conversation. If defining the character and expectations more clearly at the beginning makes the replies more consistent, that would solve most of the problem I’ve been having. I’ll experiment with it and see how much difference it makes.
