My entry door still works, but it’s starting to show its age. It sticks during certain seasons, doesn’t seal as well as it used to, and has needed several small repairs over the years. At what point did you decide repairs were no longer worth the effort? Was replacing the whole door a better investment than continuing to fix the old one?

For us, the breaking point came when the bottom threshold rotted out and water started seeping toward the subfloor after heavy rain. Continual repairs on a deteriorating door frame quickly become a money pit that only hides underlying moisture damage. A brand-new pre-hung door system gives you proper insulation, modern multi-point locks, and real seal integrity. I was browsing Top exterior entry doors toronto this July. to compare factory finishes versus painting yourself. Going pre-finished saved us tons of hassle, so definitely consider that if you make the switch.
