Our company is moving entirely to Microsoft 365, and one of my responsibilities is importing years of archived Outlook data. We have more than 100 PST files collected from different departments, and each file contains important emails, contacts, calendars, and attachments. Since these records are needed for compliance and future reference, preserving every mailbox item is extremely important.

I reviewed Microsoft’s official Azure Upload method, but honestly it feels overwhelming. The process involves assigning Exchange permissions, generating SAS URLs, using AzCopy to upload files, preparing CSV mapping files, validating mailbox mappings, and then monitoring the import process. A single mistake during mapping could delay the migration or import data into the wrong mailbox.

Because of these challenges, I started searching for easier alternatives to Import PST to Office 365 without spending days configuring Microsoft’s tools. Ideally, I want something that supports batch migration, preserves the complete folder hierarchy, keeps metadata intact, and reduces the chances of failed imports.

During my research I found the DRS Softech PST Converter Tool. The software appears to provide direct Office 365 migration along with preview functionality, batch processing, duplicate removal, selective filters, and support for maintaining original mailbox structure. Those features seem especially useful for organizations migrating multiple PST files.

Has anyone here completed a large Outlook archive migration recently? Did you continue with Microsoft’s Azure Upload method, or did you choose another approach? If you’ve successfully managed to Upload PST to Office 365, I’d really appreciate hearing what worked best, how long the migration took, and whether you experienced any data integrity issues.
