I’m leaning toward Australia because they’ve always looked calm in the biggest matches, although I wouldn’t be surprised if another strong side makes a deep run. Last year I watched several World Cup games with my cousins, and we all picked different teams before the tournament started. It turned into a fun little competition where we kept track of our predictions after every match. Mine wasn’t perfect, but following one team throughout the event made every game more interesting. I think that’s what I enjoy most about these tournaments. Even if your favorite team has a difficult day, there’s always another exciting match around the corner. That’s also why I avoid changing my opinion after every result and just enjoy seeing how the competition develops from start to finish.
