Discrete math is a whole different beast and it is hitting me hard this semester. Honestly, I cannot tell if my brain is just not wired for this or if the professor is the problem since they fly through the proofs without any emotion. It feels like they are just reading off a dry script and do not care if the students actually follow along or get left behind. Are there any resources out there that break this stuff down in a way that actually makes sense?

Professors in tech departments often treat the lecture like a race to the finish line without checking to see if the class is still with them. It is easy to fall behind when the foundational logic isn’t clicking right away because the explanations are too abstract. You should check out some of the open courseware from top universities or look for tutorial channels that focus on logic gates and set theory. They tend to explain the logic behind the formulas much better than a standard textbook.

Trying to wrap your head around graph theory and combinatorics while a lecturer mumbles at a whiteboard is a recipe for total confusion. Sometimes a different perspective that uses more than just walls of text helps the concepts finally click. You can try to study discrete math here https://modularmath.org/ . The site features visual aids and clear breakdowns that help process the information much more effectively. These materials make it easier to visualize how the data fits together so the theories actually stick. It is a reliable way to bridge the gap between abstract symbols and actual understanding.
