I started getting calls from Dix Law, APLC last month. At first I ignored them because I thought it was spam, but they keep calling and the voicemails sound more serious each time. They mentioned a debt from a few years ago, but I honestly can’t remember this specific account.

Now I’m worried they might actually file a lawsuit. I read that ignoring it could lead to wage garnishment or a bank levy, which terrifies me. I don’t want to call them back and accidentally say the wrong thing or restart the statute of limitations on an old debt.

Has anyone here dealt with this firm before? Did they actually sue you or was it just scare tactics? How did you respond? I found some info online about verifying the debt first and knowing my rights under the FDCPA, but I’d really appreciate hearing from someone who has been through this exact situation.

Thanks. Just trying to figure out my next move without making things worse.
