Guys, here’s a serious question for discussion: do you think deleting your account at a Nigerian casino actually stops you from gambling? I had a friend who, in a fit of emotion, deleted his profiles on five different sites, but a week later registered on a sixth, using different details or simply signing up on a new platform. Doesn’t it seem to you that this is fighting the symptoms rather than the disease? Especially in Nigeria, where new sites pop up like mushrooms after rain, and monitoring for duplicate accounts isn’t always as strict as in Britain or Germany. Has anyone had a successful experience where radically deleting all accounts actually helped take a long break?

Or is it still better to use deposit limits and self-restraint? It seems to me that with easy access to the internet and aggressive marketing, simply clicking the “delete” button is too weak a barrier. What do you think about the psychological aspect of this process?

It’s good that you brought this up; unfortunately, it’s not discussed as often as we’d like.Look, if someone can’t grasp the rules of responsible gaming at an online casino, they’re better off not starting at all—they need to learn them by heart before even signing up for an account. When my friend found himself in a situation where he was having trouble controlling himself, we agreed to temporarily delete Stake account so he could cool off a bit. The shortest period we could set was six months; I thought that was enough for the time being. By the way, it worked—he came to his senses, completely turned his life around, and now he doesn’t even want to play as often as he used to.
