Every fight in good cinema is essentially a dialogue in which the physical actions of the characters serve as the arguments. We learn more about the hero during a fight than from long monologues or detailed plot explanations provided by the narrator. Movements, tactics, and the reaction to pain reveal the true essence of a person in an extreme situation. I agree; at its core, a fight scene is a conversation between two characters who have run out of words. Each movement reveals something about their personality, their training, and how far they are willing to go to achieve their goal. That’s why the most brutal scenes are often the most satisfying they provide a definitive, visceral conclusion to a long-standing narrative tension
