Color change vinyl wrap and PPF are different products serving different purposes. Color change wrap is for aesthetics – changes car color/finish (matte, satin, chrome, etc.) and costs 4000-8000 AED. It provides minimal protection compared to PPF. Many people do PPF first (especially on front end) for protection, then full color wrap over entire car for aesthetic. Or they do color wrap on body and PPF on just the front. I’ve seen both approaches done well at Desert Diamond. The combination discussion at https://www.reddit.com/r/UAE/comments/1qjnbk2/where_do_people_get_proper_ppf_and_car_wrapping/ explains options. Color change wrap lasts 3-5 years, PPF lasts 5-7 years. If you want color change, consider doing PPF underneath on high-impact areas – protects both original paint and the vinyl wrap above. Some installers offer PPF in colors now – more expensive but combines protection and aesthetics in one layer. For maximum protection with color change, budget for both products. Vinyl wrap alone won’t prevent rock chips or deep scratches.
