I have a retail store and several printers. I print primarily on two specific label sizes (1.5 x 0.5 inches and 1.0 x 0.5 inches), so I have to constantly reconfigure the printer settings and select the printer to print to different printers around the store (on the counter, on my desk, on the manager’s desk, etc.).
I’d like to know if I can simplify this process by purchasing printers that can accommodate two or more rolls of labels of different sizes.
In your situation, it all comes down not so much to the number of printers as to the ease of setup. There are label printers that support quick roll changes or handle multiple formats without constant reconfiguration. For a small retailer, this really simplifies things. You can leave one printer on the counter, connect the second wirelessly, and simply select the desired template in the software without touching the physical settings.
