I’ve seen a few of these VIN-check services where the report is free. I’m not sure that’s a good thing, because most likely there will be some limitation in the check or just the basic info you might already know. I recommend FAXVIN, I’ve personally used it when buying a car. The report is generated quickly, and this service works with the main official sources where all the info is verified.
